SERVICES > Emergency

Bogue Animal Hospital is aware and flexible to emergency situations. Whether it is an animal hit by a car, potential toxic substance ingestion, seizures, or other circumstance, we put our emergencies first.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

EMERGENCIES DURING BUSINESS HOURS
During normal business hours, immediate emergency care will be our first priority. Usually, an emergency situation will consist of a doctor and one or two technicians working together to stabilize your pet. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment, please do not hesitate to call or come in immediately for care. If at all possible, please call ahead so that a team member can best advise you on your situation.

EMERGENCIES AFTER HOURS
For emergency situations that occur after hours, one of our three doctors is usually "on call". This is a service we provide to established clients. In the event that a doctor cannot be reached after hours or, they are unable to meet your needs in a timely fashion, you can call the Wichita Emergency Veterinary Clinic (707 S. Washington) at 262-5321. This facility is open all night, during the hours most veterinary offices are closed. The Wichita Emergency Veterinary Clinic will fax to our office by the next morning any treatments, diagnoses, or recommended follow-up care. We will gladly make a follow-up appointment for you in those warranted cases, or provide follow-up hospitalization and treatment upon transfer from the Emergency Clinic.
