SERVICES > Grooming

Whether you have a pet that needs a bath and brush-out, a medicated or therapeutic dip, a summer camp shave-down, a lion-cut, or a professional breed groom, our groomers will gladly give your pet quite a day at the spa! We have two professional groomers on staff to meet patient needs and offer services by appointment only. Our groomers keep their schedule booked out about 4-6 weeks, so if you are in the market for grooming services, be thinking ahead! If there is something specific you would like done, our groomers will try to do their best to accommodate your needs. There are various shaving options, breed specific patterns, and utility cuts are groomers are familiar with. You are encouraged to bring a photograph of a style you like and our groomers are more than happy to make time to discuss your options. Whatever it may be, we want to make your pet's grooming appointment a pleasant one.

GROOMING VACCINATION PROTOCOL
All animals coming in for a grooming visit will be expected to be current on vaccinations. We continue to monitor this for the health, well-being, and safety of our staff and all the animals that spend time here during the course of a day or longer.

CANINES
RABIES- All canine boarders must be current within the last year or three years on Rabies (depending on your veterinarianís recommendation).
DISTEMPER/PARVO- Distemper must have been given within the last year.
BORDETELLA- A Bordetella booster, also known as kennel cough, must have been completed and current within the last six months.

FELINES
RABIES- All feline boarders must be current within the last year or three years on Rabies (depending on your veterinarianís recommendation).
DISTEMPER- A feline distemper vaccine must have been administered within the last year.

PUPPY AND KITTEN GROOMING
It is important to get a new puppy used to having their paws and body used to contact by human hands so that being bathed will seem like play time when it occurs. Many animals come in and need a nail trim and have never had their feet touched and they are a little bit anxious. It's very helpful if the pet owner has just touched the feet or "played" with the feet at home, to begin the desensitization process and make going to the "spa" an enjoyable experience.

GROOMING FEES AND APPOINTMENTS
The groomers set their own prices and stay fairly current with the changing trends. Please call ahead to make time to meet with our groomer for consultation and pricing estimates. You are also more than welcome to call our customer service representatives for an estimated cost over the phone based on your petís breed. Pricing may fluctuate based on coat condition, breed, and behavior.

You are highly encouraged to schedule standing appointments. We have one full time groomer available Monday thru Friday and a part time groomer available on Monday and Tuesday. Each groomer has an allotment of groomers they are willing to take on for any given day and fill up quickly! On the day of your petís appointment, we ask that you to drop your pet off between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Please provide us with a number upon arrival where you can be reached in case our groomers or doctors have questions.

You may call our office at (316)722-1085 for an appointment. Our customer service staff would be happy to assist you!
