Toby, a 6-year old Parson Jack Russel Terrier, has become one of our most well-behaved pets – what an impression he made on his last visit! If you’re familiar with this particular breed, you know that calm is not necessarily nor very frequently the word that comes to one’s mind when this particular breed is spoken of in conversation!

Toby’s owner, when complimented by our staff on Toby’s terrific behavior, said much of the credit for this little guy’s behavioral success is attributable to Kathy Adkins, a certified animal behaviorist, who spent weekly sessions with Toby and his family for six weeks, working on the specific concerns his family had with him. The owner had 80% of “the right stuff” down pretty pat, but the behaviorist helped immensely with the remaining 20%. Success came with diligence and teamwork, and everyone has come out a winner!
