Grayson is an Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound mix who is approximately 6 years old. He is a rescue from out at the Anthony lake back in 2003, and was skin & bones and looked pretty raggedy. Once he found Gwen and the dogs, he let them know he wanted to be a part of the pack and slept outside the door one night waiting for them to come back out the next morning. Gwen couldn’t leave him out there, so she brought him back to Wichita and after their visit with Dr. Bogue, she found out he was heartworm positive. The clinic immediately started treatment which meant keeping a young, energetic, Wolfhound completely calm for two weeks! Luckily he made it through the treatment. Grayson was a challenge because he was full grown in size with the spirit of a puppy and didn’t understand any commands. He had never been around people. With a lot of consistency and discipline, he learned things pretty quickly and turned out to have the most colorful, dynamic personality one could imagine. He is the life of the party! He has a very ornery side to him and his favorite things to do are tease the other dogs or howl with you. He also loves stuffed animals and gets so excited when you get him a new one. They don’t last long, though. He loves to de-stuff them in a matter of seconds! Grayson has frequent bursts of energy and Gwen loves to watch him run, but most of the time he’s just a big ol’ couch potato!
